Zachary A Porter
This project originated as something that I did for the Washington Aerospace Scholars program run by the Museum of Flight parterning with the University of Washington. My paper describes a booster design that collects and compresses monoatomic hydrogen into a condensed diatomic hydrogen mix. This hydrogen is compressed using a single electromagnetic coil for a long time (150-200 ms) and then fired using a second higher voltage coil for a short time (10-20 us).
